U.S. M1 Bayonet with M7 Scabbard for the M1 Garand rifle. This bayonet was manufactured by PAL Blade & Tool somewhere between 1943-1945. Overall condition is nice with some patina (surface rust from age) and wear consistent with military issue accessories of this age. The last bit of the tip is missing from wear or damage. The mechanical catch appears fully functional and moves freely. The bakalite grip panels are in decent shape with some wear and ding marks. The M7 Scabbard is in decent condition as well. It has some imperfections and wear as well as surface rust on the metal parts but functions properly. Blade length: 10" (actual blade length is about 9-7/8", overall length: Approx 14-1/2". We are not bayonet experts, this information came from internet research based on markings and appearances. We do the best we can with the information available but recommend doing your own research to verify the provided info. Comes pictured "As Is" in the condition seen. This came with a small collection of WWII era military firearms and accessories but the history is unknown.
